The Domaine Drouin
Established since 1984 in the village of Vergisson in the Mâconnais district in the south of Burgundy region, our operation currently covers 9 hectares (22 acres), 6 of which are devoted to Pouilly-Fuissé, and the rest to appellation Mâcon
The grape variety for our white Wines is : Chardonnay, the king grape variety of Burgundy who express himself marvelously on our clay-limestone grounds. It is the private tutor the various vintages of Pouilly-Fuissé, the Mâcon-Bussières and the Mâcon-Vergisson.
The small vintage of Mâcon Rouge " Les Bruyères " arises from the Gamay grape variety. An exigent variety, which well worked, gives very pleasant delicate Wines.
The age of the vineyard ranges from 25 to 65 years.
There are about 8000 individual plants per hectare (3200 per acre).
